Laricina Energy Ltd. is pleased to announce that the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Canadian Section has named Jeff Peterson from Laricina Energy as Chairman for 2009-2010.  Jeff has served on the board of directors for the section for 5 years prior to assuming this role.  The Canadian section of the SPE has over three thousand members and provides technical luncheons, conferences and continuing education opportunities for members.  Later this year the SPE Canadian Section and the Petroleum Society of the CIM will be merging into a single organization which will be known as SPE Canada and Jeff will become chairman of the Calgary Section.  Globally the SPE has over 88,000 members in more than 100 countries.

Jeff’s appointment further demonstrates Laricina’s leadership in the technical community as well as our on-going effort to promote professional development, knowledge sharing and technical innovation.
