Laricina files an amendment to its 1,800 barrel per day pilot project at Saleski
In July 2009, the original pilot project was approved by the Energy Resources Conservation Board and Alberta Environment. The amendment proposes to add solvents to steam in the SAGD process. Based on extensive lab testing and field work, Laricina believes that the addition of solvents will lower the steam requirements while maintaining the production rates.
