6. Wellhead Area

There is room for four well pairs in the wellhead area. To date, two injector/producer well pairs will be tied-in, three well pairs have been drilled and there is room for a fourth well pair.

The pipe rack modules for the wellheads are used to control injection of steam, Propane, blanket gas, Diluent and production rates.

A nuclear magnetic resonance measuring device, located in a small building on the south side of the pipe rack, measures oil, water and produced gas in emulsion steam. The device was developed specifically for Laricina by the University of Calgary.

At the end of the pipe rack is a steam condensate tank, which is used to start up the steam lines.

Off the edge of the well pad on the north side is the on-site disposal well, bracketed by two additional on-site source water wells. These are connected to the source water tank and the disposal water tank via underground lines.
